Cupertino based tech giant aka Apple has always been famous for its latest up to date technology and unique features. That is the reason, when Apple added OLED panels to the iPhone, some of us wondered how long it would take to do the same on the iPad or MacBook.

Apple is actively expanding the range of its offers which makes its stock price grow.[/su_quote]Subsequently, in March 2018 , details emerged that Apple was moving token to design and manufacture its own MicroLED panels as an alternative to OLED in its larger devices. This takes more strength today due to new information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Kuo mentions that Apple already has the development of mini-LED panels ready , which would arrive as soon as the next year for a new iPad and MacBook Pro. According to the aformentioned person, Apple is planning to launch four to six new devices with mini-LEDs , and the first two of these devices would go on sale during 2020.
The first would be a 12.9-inch iPad Pro , which would be the first to release a mini-LED panel in addition to an A14X processor. According to the analyst, this iPad Pro would be launched during the third quarter of 2020.

On the other hand, Kuo mentions that the second device would be a 16-inch MacBook Pro , the first laptop that would arrive with a mini-LED panel and would be an update that was just launched a few days ago . Therefore, the idea is to go on sale during the fourth quarter of 2020.
Kuo anticipates that Apple’s development of mini-LED panels will accelerate the development of this technology, which offers benefits compared to OLED : such as a better color gamut, high contrast, high dynamic range and localized dimming.
The mini-LED also allows to have thinner and more efficient panels in terms of energy consumption, in addition to not suffering from ‘burn-in’ as in the case of OLED.
