Apps update all the time, some updates are more important than the other. Today we will be talking about a recent update in an app that has become a staple in our everyday life. We can’t go anywhere without it.
I can’t think of anybody in my circle who uses actual maps instead of google maps for directions. Going to different places and sharing your experience on Google Maps is an interactive process.
I like to check the ratings and reviews on Google before visiting a restaurant. And after visiting, I love to give back to the community by sharing my experience at a certain place or any kind of difficulty I faced.

Before today, all of my reviews were being posted with the account I made in 2009 and a fandom picture I chose at that time. I didn’t have much time or energy to change it because of the complicated process is involved.
But now Google has come up with a solution to this problem. In the new android version if their app there is a separate tab for profile picture changing and info editing.
This will enable users to change their photos conveniently and easily. It also provides better privacy options for the users who prefer to keep their previously uploaded pictures and reviews to themselves only.

If you are someone who loves to share your reviews with the community but doesn’t want them to share them with the businesses that you follow, then there is good news for you as well.
As the new update has an option in settings to opt-out of this obligation as well. One thing that is worth mentioning about this update is that it is only for android users. By far we haven’t seen an iOs version for this upgrade. So iOs users cant change their profile info from the app.
