The Motorola RAZR is Finally Here and This is Our First Impression of The Foldable Device.

It was just the last week when we spotted the new RAZR by Motorola on the street. You can read all about that here.

Now finally it is launched and you can visit the Lenovo’s headquarters and try it for yourself. As far as actual release is concerned, it will be available for use in January 2020. It is soon to talk about performance, battery, and camera.

It is not suitable for making first full impressions (say it is the most recent prototype), but it is advanced enough to talk about how it feels in hand and judge its form factor. To anticipate that it is a blow of nostalgia, since we are facing an updated Motorola Razr V3, and small spoiler: it feels very good.

It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core 2.2 GHz processor. A full 128GB memory and 6GB memory. The phone has an Android 9.0 Pie operating system and a 5MP camera. The price is $ 1,499, which in our opinion is a little high for a quiff of nostalgia. We are hoping that it proves to more than just the nostalgia break for all of us.

The new Motorola Razr drinks directly from the Motorola Razr V3, one of the most well-known mobile phones in history. As an heir in 2019, the Motorola Razr retains the classic chin in the lower area, whereas we have learned, elements such as antennas have been saved, which, given the peculiar form factor, cannot be implemented in the rear. The chin is generous, thick, and acts as the home of the fingerprint sensor.

In the back, we have a crystallized finish that gets very dirty, a typical evil of mobile phones made of glass. As for the screen, from Lenovo, they assure us that the crease “does not leave a mark”, as they have verified in their laboratory tests. The Motorola Razr has two screens: a main and a secondary.

The main one, the front one, the one that we will use most of the time, has a diagonal of 6.2 inches, 21: 9 format, pOLED technology, and HD resolution, something that shows if we look closer. Perhaps FullHD would have been a more appropriate resolution. It also has a small-large notch in the upper area to accommodate the camera for selfies.

The secondary screen has a size of 2.7 inches with resolution 800 x 600 pixels and OLED technology, and in a nutshell, it serves to take selfies with the phone folded and using the main sensor. the secondary screen has a size of 2.7 inches with resolution 800 x 600 pixels and OLED technology, and in a nutshell, it serves to take selfies with the phone folded and using the main sensor.
